A summer homeschool program we are tryingI've been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. Time4Learning can be used for homeschool, afterschool and summer skill sharpening. Be sure to come back and read about my experience

This is the last day of school for my 8 yr old son. He will be going into the 4th grade next year and we want to make sure he maintains his math skills throughout the summer. I will post about our experience throughout the month .
Sam has mild Asperger's syndrome and adhd. Those two things combined have made this year's learning a little harder. His entire school (teachers, principal, asst. principal, secretaries, nurse , speech teacher and o.t. ) have worked with him to find out what helps Sam learn the best. We found out that testing in a small group or even alone makes a huge difference for his concentration.
Sam had to work very hard on multiplication this year. He scored a perfect 600 on his math S.O.L. but ended the year with a C in math. Go figure (lol). So

So we are hoping to keep the skills he worked so hard on sharp through the summer. It remains to be seen if he will agree that this is a good way to spend his summer vacation :).
I like the www.time4learning.com format and I have 2 friends who use it. So I hope to try it out and let you know how it goes.
